Alameda Health System (AHS) is proud to congratulate Sarah Rahman, MD, chief medical information officer (CMIO), on receiving an Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems (AMDIS) award honoring her contributions to clinical informatics and her leadership in advancing health care technology.
Dr. Rahman was recognized for championing the voice of safety-net health systems and fostering collaboration among CMIOs across California. Her work has helped strengthen partnerships, promote knowledge sharing and advance solutions that improve care for patients and communities.
AMDIS is the premier professional organization for CMIOs and physician leaders who advance health care through information technology.
The organization’s award honors physician leaders who have demonstrated excellence in applied clinical informatics and achieved measurable improvements in patient care, clinician experience, quality and health care delivery through the innovative use of technology.
Rahman shared that the honor reflects the incredible work happening across AHS, including progress in AI governance, clinical informatics, digital transformation and responsible innovation.
