Agendas

Agendas are posted in accordance with the Brown Act and Board of Trustees Bylaws.  Regular meeting agendas are typically posted the Friday prior to the meeting.  Special meeting agendas are typically posted 24-hours prior to the meeting.

Meeting Schedule

A complete listing of all Board and Committee meetings, including the scheduled dates and times, can be found on the Meeting Calendar page.  The Board may schedule additional meetings to conduct business as necessary.  Unless otherwise noticed, the 2026 meetings will take place as follows:

• Audit and Compliance Committee meetings are scheduled for the third Wednesday in March, June, and September.
• Board of Trustees Meetings are scheduled for the second Wednesday of each month, except August and December when the Board is on break.
• Finance Committee meetings are scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month, except August and December when the Board is on break.
• Human Resources Committee meetings are scheduled for the third Wednesday in January, February, April, May, July, and October.
• Quality Professional Services Committee meetings are scheduled for the fourth Wednesday of most months, the third Wednesday in November, and there will be no meeting in December when the Board is on break.

Meeting Location

The Board meets in the Conference Center on the third floor of the Highland Care Pavillion at Highland Hospital, 1411 E. 31^st Street in Oakland, unless otherwise noticed.

Meeting Start Time

Public sessions typically begin at 5:00pm, unless otherwise noticed.

To Join a Board Meeting in Person or Remotely

The public is welcome to attend open sessions of the Board of Trustees and their Standing Committees in person at the location noted above.  Seats for the public are set up in meeting room B.

The public is also welcome to attend the meeting via Zoom.  The link to join via Zoom is listed toward the top of every agenda.  One you click on the link you will be asked to enter the Meeting ID and Password, also located on the agenda just below the Zoom link.

Phone numbers are also provided for participants to call in.

Public Comment

All Board and Committee meetings allow for public comment on items that are either on the agenda or under the purview of the Board or that committee.  Comments can be provided in person or via Zoom.  There are several ways to sign up for public comment:

• Send an email to COB@alamedahealthsystem.org prior to the meeting starting, or
• Call the Clerk of the Board at 510-967-3825 prior to the meeting starting, or
• See the Clerk of the Board at the beginning of the meeting to sign up, or
• If attending the meeting via Zoom, send a chat to the moderator.

 PUBLIC COMMENT SIGN UPS WILL CLOSE 10 MINUTES AFTER THEY BEGIN.  Commenters must be available and ready to speak when their name is called. 

Disability Access

To request accommodation or assistance to participate in a meeting please contact the Clerk of the Board.  Requests made at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting will help to ensure availability.

In order to accommodate persons with severe allergies, environmental illness, multiple chemical sensitivity or related disabilities, attendees at public meetings are reminded that other attendees may be sensitive to perfumes and various other chemical-based scented products. Please help us to accommodate these individuals.

Meeting procedures

The Board of Trustees is the Policy Body of the Alameda Health System. Members of the public are urged to testify at full Board and Committee meetings. Board procedures do not permit: 1) persons in the audience at a meeting to vocally express support or opposition to statements by Board Members or by other persons testifying; 2) ringing and use of cell phones, pagers, and similar sound-producing electronic devices. The public are encouraged to testify at meetings and to write letters to the Clerk of the Board or to its members, 1411 East 31^st Street Oakland, CA 94602.
